11 August 1998 Wake Up Brand new perspective As the world changes before my eyes. Seemingly harsh words hold more truth than My self-consoling lies. A selfish care, from the unresolved. Not everything is done or meant for me. I walk out, leaving my thoughts behind And then stare at the locked door -I forgot my key- Need the uninvolved to tell it how it is I will be left behind if I don't wake up from this dream. Looking to the future now, another light I see As someone has figured out exactly what I mean. I tell myself to wake up, as this new day brings to me A reason why my thoughts will, this time, set me free.
