UN-NOTICED You make a symbol For the whole world to see But the sculpture you make Pries it's way inside me Seeing faces under no control But underneath the world The face I see stares back at me Insisting I'm the same I could never be enought, I know I'm something nobody would see As you pass me by, I wish that I Was something that isn't me I'm always me, unrecognised So carefully content Today I want to be another So you might notice me The place I'm in could not be right Couldn't be the place to be With all this beauty surrounding How much more out of place could I be I say what I think is What I want to say The world has changed It makes things hard Fo anyone like me There's no-one else like me The face on the ground is all I can be Another thing fo you to just pass by Why should I be acknowledged I look strange I look as though I don't belong I lok the same You're so elegant, but I'm the face of a brick Underneath the rest It could all fall down around me There'd still be an image One of you, one of me So much contradiction of fate We will never cross Abstraction makes up me 9/12/98
