Slowly take the steps required
To be allowed to go inside
Calling me through distant whispers
Tempting me with unspoken promises of
Life everlasting
Peace of mind
And a new life

Slim lines of light shimmer
Growing as the door is opened
Hope impregnated in my brain
The light, dark blue
Will show the way
To what my soul is begging for

My mind is no longer mine
Frozen numb by chilling calls
That reach past my mind and far beyond
Words of doom
Are wisdom the same
They'll take the soul and guide me in

Many people drawn inside
Know that won't leave alive
Others forced to be oblivious
My naivety preyed upon and used
The temple wins, my world has died

So many have entered her before
Remnants of their lives hang empty hearted
All around me
Spinning
Falling
Dying
Knowing
Knowing my own destiny
Through what the voices let me know
Being shown where I'm supposed to go

Dark path
Illuminated way
In and out of security
But knowing doors
I will open

I can make you fall or rise
I have been shown what to do
Dealing hands myself now
You'll take what you are given
This is the hand that I was dealt
The temple threw
And I received
And made the best of what I had

Step inside
And breathe the air
The cold and damp
And screaming air
This is what we all must share

Come into the temple, child
Your soul can lead

The temple calls us all to come
