14 Nov. 1997 Silent Voices If only life could be cast aside In anticipation of a better day But life is not something to put on hold It isn’t something to throw away. We all take too many chances And don’t seem to understand that we Are simply not invincible-too young Or too blind to see? Just one night of ‘fun’ It could lead to death Could have the time of your life Or watch a friend take their last breath. We don’t think it could be our Last week or day or hour We are insignificant A higher force holds power. We are just pieces Players of the game There for his entertainment But not all treated the same. He does not care about us Doesn’t hear us cry or shout Silent Voices fading into the night Is that what this life is all about?
