RAVEN MOON

Trying to escape this stage
Running, jumping, falling
Let me loose
Let me fall
I want to get down off the side

The platform underneath my walking
The shoes are burning solely
Alone and comforted by nothing
I am comforted by nothingness
The wooden floor creaks

Curtains cover up the world
Windows separate
The shining sky of night and night
Are sheltered by our day
I've had this on my mind

Taking off the light
Shutting down what is expected
Claiming my ship and sail
I'll leave on a boat for eighty days
I'll arrive back home
It all has burned

What was here
What had held me for so long
Has crumbled to the ground
Raven moon, bleeding green tinge
The colour seeps through the clouds
And drifts upon the breeze

The cage is battered and broken
But still it holds me torn
Nothing but a prisoner in a world of freedom
Freedom I can't find
What does this shameful tinted black lake need?
Something I can give

I give and give and always take
Selfish evil eyes of ice
Holy trees sway at my senses
Streaming river
Trickle searching
For the last of screaming  bloodhounds

I'm moving into the shadows
Sleeping under blue
The freeze, the distance in between
I think I'll take it slow
But always moving somewhere
And breaking free over time and time again
