Perfect Symmetry

The sound is what makes it special
Empty thoughts, an emtpy room
As the walls echo tears of my flaws
I look to another to find my home

No life in the room that holds my world
No life in the mind that lives for the girl
But life is still found in the ones that know
And who won't give away the last of the light

Do not say never as that word does not exist
Love keeps us from the fall
But love is not all
That can hold us in the place we need to be

Bloodshot eyes and pale skin
Signs of forced insomnia
Drive us to a new distraction
But we do not foget the last

A place where you are
I've been so many times before
And I know that it hurts
I know that it is hard
But surving the test is our reward in the end

Do not say never, I am tuned out to that word
Last is only the day before and final is not a part
Everything is special, but I guess bloodshot eyes can't see
What it is in you that holds that special part of me

Yes, it upset me to read the note
Yes, it made me want to cry
My heart beat was faster than ever before
As I felt both our thoughts die

Sometimes the words in response
Aren't a perfect symmetry
But I'll tell you now I need you
And I think you still need me

Don't close the door and lock it up
It's cold for all who wait outside,
But instead ask you guest to leave
Take the pain, take the hate, but leave the love you've tried to hide

Deep breathes don't stop the heart from aching
My tears won't calm the stomach pain
And nervousness won't bring back
What the peace before those words were read

I'll lay my coat on the dusty track

That you left behind when you decide to walk

Nothing does last to the final degree

Do my words rhyme when you read them back

That not all of the words we hear are in perfect symmetry.
