29 Janauary 1999 Maid To Serve The Stranger Too many years pass us by All the times we had. And there is so much I can’t remember But I need those memories now. Things were simple Things were easy No need for things at all Every need was catered for But still some wanted more. Brief departure, Back again Time didn’t seem to change Either one of the two Even after separate ways. Both so weak, But strong somewhere Clashes of nature seemed to overrule The words that were so often used On brighter coloured days. Behind the back To go somewhere Stab in the back Simply not fair. And it seemed I had finally won All you wanted I just had But then a twist, not part of you I lost it all at once Again you were on top Or so you seemed to think. But I soon learned to live without And you made an attempt to live But you tried anothers life instead And it didn’t quite work out. Still you made do You liked to do Make out became fake out A loss of what you never had -A weary drop of innocence- Licentious was all around But discoveries now found You vowed not to give up. A different way of life Was all you seemed to have Finally I am on track You spent your time on your back But time is all we have Do not waste it constantly If you’d just listen to me You wouldn’t live the way you do. I don’t pretend to know I won’t begin to understand But instead of using haggard hearts Why don’t you learn to hold a hand. Where does that leave us now? I couldn’t spare the time of day But I knew you for a time And for that I’ll have to pay. You’ve decided to leave us this day Was not your decision to make We’ll leave it as an even score Don’t need each other anyone I don’t know if we even did.
