28 January 1999 I Await I stare out at the vast sea My arms are open wide Trying to catch a breath of salt air Or just trying to hide. Grains of sand Blow around me here Rocks have grazed my feet Still I have no fear Of what I’ve been expecting I hold a shell up to my ear And I try to hear the sea Which I know is right here But the shell is meant for only me. I don’t have to share I can call it my own There are too many people here To call the sea my home. I have been staring too long now I close my eyes and still I see The forever bright blue water Stretched out in front of me Day after day I came back here Though I still refuse to stay But I know that I Shall not turn back On my final judgement day.
