Final Words

If I left right now would
anyone notice?
If I died right now would
anyone care?
What if I didn’t leav a note to
explain things?
If there was a funeral would
anyone be there?

The answers to all this,
I feel, would be “No!”
Everyone seems to have someone
who does care.
Everyone has somebody
to love, but I do not.
It’s the way of the world,
but it doesn’t seem fair.

No one cares,
No one is there,
it doesn’t seem fair,
but anyhow.
I might go, I might go now
and I’ll leave this note
to anyone whose there.

I can only hope that when I’m gone
someone may finally decide to care.
