14 Jan 1998 Falling Stepped over the edge And is falling. No plea, no cry for help. Finally free. Indecisive made his decision. Dependant, now walking alone. First choice of his life was death, But at least it was his own. Unsure of what he wanted, He knew what he didn’t need. Took one step in the wrong direction But now he is finally free. Down and down, Towards the ground, His life passed without a sound. Freedom finally found. Yet they didn’t understand. He had what they all wanted. The life of which some only dreamed. Ungrateful boy. Selfish boy. Did not deserve the chance he gave away. But they never listened. How did he feel? They didn’t know And they didn’t even care, Until they realised he wasn’t there. Too late now. The impact was too great. Ground couldn’t save him from his fate. But the freedom he wanted was found As his body hit the ground. Fulfilled soul, at peace in death.
