FACES I have nothing to offer I'm nothing, can't you see I want to paint a picture But I know I could never be All the faces gazing free Nobody sees them horribly It's art for all to experience It just makes me lonely and weak All the people, the faces The inward empty stares The people, the faces That I will never meet Alone, I feel The faces on the wall won't even Talk to me Finish me Look for the different speeds All of the artistic needs The celebration of the faces for free So many covered and sheltered Displayed so openly Can I find a way to understand Leaves everything up to me Shut me in Make me think Unleash the turmoil in my mind Close your eyes Create disguise And let the sorrow and aching unwind You make me feel so strange So afraid The black on black charade Suits the way Walking alone through the Chamber of faces People of the past, all the Souls I'll never see 9/12/98
