A FINISHED MANS IMPRESSION OF THE FUTURE Not many miles in his life Ran out of joy when all the candles burned out With nothing much to think about Separation comes and goes and comes again Everyday he adds more fuel To the fire that he burns + watches Puts all the darkness behind A whitish wall of faith He says he found God or a god Who gave up on him Who gave another separation Falling back into black Some smiles come into his life He breaks his mind again to see What we all wanted him to be Then, came a stage of life He just couldn't conquer So the flame becomes important The fire burns away his hope Leaving only one hope if he crawls over It's over It's gone He knows there's peace behind the flame He sees it through the hole he made But he likes the flame Lives for the flame Makes himself a part of the flame So he won't end up dark again 5/12/98
